Canadian innovation builds a brighter tomorrow.

Phantom Photonics states that it is “a spinout from the University of Waterloo, started at the Quantum Photonics Lab at the Institute for Quantum Computing where Alex Maierean, Dr. Shihan Sajeed, and Prof. Thomas Jennewein developed a cutting-edge technology for quantum 3D remote sensing.” It says “The technology hinges on quantum coherence that empowers our sensors with unmatched noise resilience”, which “not only extends operational distances but also integrates covert functionality, rendering our systems impervious to adversarial disabling—commonly known as blinding attacks.” The company adds that the patent-pending innovation is “ideal for defense applications, but also civilian uses such as undersea asset monitoring, anti-collision systems for satellites, and more.”
