About Quantum Technology in Canada
Quantum technology spans three distinct lines of work: computing hardware and the control electronics, cryogenics and photonics it depends on; quantum sensing and metrology; and quantum-safe communications and cryptography. The software layer — compilers, error correction, simulation and algorithms — is counted here too.
This is one of the directory’s deepest sectors, and the records run from full-stack computing companies to the component suppliers a quantum lab buys from. Several began as university spin-outs and still publish alongside the groups they came from.
How this list is built
Every Quantum record here is hand-checked, and the 207 claims across them each link to a page you can open. Where a figure is not published, the field is left blank rather than estimated.
