Blumind states that it was established in 2020 in Ontario, Canada, and describes itself as a Canadian deep-tech startup "led by industry visionaries with a proven track record of building successful semiconductor businesses", with expertise spanning analog circuits, AI chip design, machine learning and high-performance AI systems. Its patented AMPL architecture is an all-analog AI neural network architecture built in standard CMOS on advanced process nodes, which the company says is "100-1000X more efficient than legacy digital approaches". The AMPL core avoids ADCs, DACs, SRAM and high-speed clocks in the neural network core and can take analog sensor input directly. Blumind describes itself as a member of ventureLAB and a graduate of Creative Destruction Lab's AI stream, with the stated mission "AI for Everyone, Everywhere".
