Ottawa designer and manufacturer of planar lightwave circuit (PLC) optical chips on silicon — CWDM, DWDM and LWDM multiplexers, switching fabrics and star couplers — sold to transceiver makers serving data centre, telecom and AI markets.
Enablence states that it "designs and manufactures optical chips used by world-leading transceiver companies", bringing customer designs to reality "though rapid design, fabrication, and packaging of photonic semiconductors", and that its specialized optical team produces designs resulting in reduced insertion loss, increased bandwidth and improved crosstalk. Its own release boilerplate describes the company as designing, marketing and selling optical chips and sub systems, primarily in the form of planar lightwave circuits (PLC) on silicon-based chips, for datacom, telecom, automotive and artificial intelligence applications, with a customer base focused today on data centre and other rapidly growing end markets.

CWDM MUX / DEMUX
Optical multiplexer chips
Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing demultiplexer combining an arrayed waveguide grating design with high quality fabrication. The multiplexer is offered in Enablence's proprietary Vortex design.
Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing chips built on an arrayed waveguide grating design with low loss over the industrial temperature range, available in 100/75/50 GHz pitch and Gaussian or flat-top lineshape.
A platform allowing the integration of active tuning capabilities to achieve phase shifting as a key building block for a variety of switching applications in telecom and sensing.
Enablence agreed to issue 3,226,000 shares at C$7.75 to Collingwood Investments for C$25 million, a premium to the previous close. Proceeds are for fab capacity in Silicon Valley and Vietnam and for working capital, with closing expected by the end of September 2026 subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance.
All production-line equipment was qualified at ShunYun's Vietnam facility and qualified samples were released to key North American customers. Initial lines cover CWDM MUX/DEMUX and AAWG products.
A $5.3 million order for FR8 wavelength-management chips used in 800G and 1.6T transceivers, beginning to ship in Q4FY26. The CEO described it as the company's largest order to date.
