Founded in 2019 and based in Québec City, it manufactures mid-infrared fibre lasers for medical, surgical and industrial applications, and lists a leadership team drawn from Université Laval laser research. Its own press material states that the company was formed out of a partnership between Université Laval researchers and Le Verre Fluoré Inc., and that the high tissue absorption and optical precision of mid-infrared light enable laser-based surgery and dermatology.
