    The first eight replenishment satellites MDA Space built for Globalstar’s low Earth orbit constellation were deployed on a SpaceX Falcon 9 on Aug. 15, 2026 and entered commissioning.     Telesat expanded its Lightspeed constellation by 69 satellites, adding 27 MDA AURORA satellites to the 198 MDA Space was already building. MDA Space increased the total contract value by $474 million, including 500 MHz of military Ka-band added to satellites already in build.
